We had a lead Rotarian on three grants this year.   Funds given into our communites this year totalled $10,000.  Thank you Rotarians for volunteering and donating to the Foundation. 
  • Catherine McAuley Center - We refurbished a Child Care room for children of immigrants, while their parents are in classes. $5,126  Thank you Mary Schell!
  • AbbeHealth/Aging Services - Connecting the older folks in our community to others with 5 iPad tablets. Gift bags were distributed. $1,942 Thank you Bob Schell!
  • ChildServe - Providing learning/speech testing tools for this organization to serve their kids. $2,932  Thank you Rachel Rigdon!
Volunteering beyond the projects is an essential parts of these organizations and our club. The engages us with serving our community. 
 
Project 1 - Abbe Health-Aging Services to help seniors from being isolated

Project 2: Catherine McAuley Center child care room updates:  
Immigrant clients needed this room for children during the parent's classes.  
 
Our Rotary grant provided new tables and chairs, security cameras, fingerprint security reader, toys and tablet electronics, installed now for better care of the kids.

Project 3: ChildServe in Coralville
We helped to purchase speech imparement diagnostic Apps for to diagnose kids served by this Iowa organization. The "big check' was presented at their May 11 Donor Lunch by Rachel Rigdon and Bruce Lindholm.
