Make-A-Wish Golf Planning

Kids and families have been supported by Sunrise Rotary with Make-A-Wish (Iowa) for over 20 years. Our large funraiser is the annual "Wish Upon a Par" event. In 2020 we lost that event due to the Covid 19 shutdowns.

Sunrise Rotary planning is underway for the event on May 27. Join our Zoom meetings on alternate Fridays 12 Noon next on Feb 26. All Rotarians are welcome.

Foundation Rotary Rush is ON! Dec > Feb

District 5970 “Rotary Rush” is on! For the last few days of February the District is offering a significant incentive to all Rotarians who give to the Rotary Foundation Annual Fund. Contact Bob Schell now to see how close you are to your first or next "Paul Harris Fellow level".

International Project - India Burn Clinic

Our Rotary District is asked to support creation of a state-of-the-art Tissue/Skin Banking Facility in Jaipur, India. There is a grave need for this in Northern India, where none exists. A demand exists because of frequent kitchen fires due to loose clothing and unsafe kitchens.

Sunrise Rotary is doing a 'virtual pass the hat' for any amount. Checks payable to The Rotary Foundation or cash will be collected. Just call or email Bruce Lindholm, Grants cooridator, to arrange a pickup of your donation by February 28.

"Rotary Club of Jaipur Midtown" is partnering with our District.

RYLA and Young RYLA News

RYLA & Young RYLA Update - Who can you recommend to our club to sponsor for the 1 week camps in summer 2021? For Youth currently in the 7-8th, or 10-11th grades can apply and attend. RYLA = Rotary Youth Leadership Awards. THink about who you want to encourage to attend, for now.

RYLA: Registration hasn't opened yet as COVID19 planning continues. Hybrid is the target.
YRYLA: Registration hasn't opened yet. Planning is starting.
Rotary Youth Exchange: Interviews are progressing in anticipation of being allowed to do the exchanges this coming year.

CR Sunrise is not planning on an outbound exchange student this year.
