The end of summer brings the need for fall donations! Donating at this time is especially important. The Labor Day weekend causes regular donations to drop at the Donor Centers. Donating at our challenge will help to combat those drops and make sure that the supply remains steady!

As special summer THANK YOU, all donors will receive a $10 gift card (options include Amazon, Target, Walmart, Starbucks, Subway and more) OR 500 bonus points to the Impact Donor Store to spend on cool donor gear!

Exchange Student "Alvaro" is Settled In!

Our in-bound Rotary Exchange Student - Alvaro - arrived Sunday August 21 from Argentina. He began attending Kennedy HS on August 23.

He has finalized his classes, attended his first PEP Assembly, signed up for Soccer, has a KHS Activity App/Pass, a US cell phone Sim card, and his CRB&T "teen" bank account we support. His English skills improved a lot in 1 week! He is a delightful, happy young man. We thank the Globokar family, a kind host-family for him.

Consider hosting Alvaro in his 2nd or 3rd trimester at Kennedy HS. Also ask friends and neighbors as well. Contact Bruce or Mary if you want to discuss.

We welcomed Larry Helling, CRB&T and Tim Guenther, founder of Clickstop, as our recent presenters in July and August. They were fantastic, sharing success factors and setbacks as well. Watch for the September event news.

12 Noon on the 4th Tuesday. This monthly event offers you insights from local business leaders... their successes, their lessons learned... to equip you going forward. Join Rotarians from all Linn County Clubs.

We are at a new site: Biaggi's on Collins Road. The lunch is fine at $18-20 (total). Register and pre-pay on Square by Mondays if you are having lunch. https://rotarybar.square.site/ September is not yet ready to register.

All Metro Rotary Clubs Service Project Oct 22

Our 2022 All-Metro Rotary Clubs Service Project:

Fall Metro Rotary Trail Clean-up will be on October 22nd. Marky your calendars! While the Metro Rotary Council has a long-standing tradition of supporting the Cedar Lake Park, due to construction in the area the city has asked Rotary to help in another area of the trail this year.

We will be helping with invasive plant removal and trash clean up along the Cedar Trail through downtown starting at 10 a.m. with a social at Black Sheep Social Club afterwards. Bring families too!

Details including the starting location will be announced.
