Club Goals:
- Rotary Foundation "Every Member Every Year" $100 per member
- Support Make-A-Wish (Iowa) every year through the Make-A-Wish Golf Event
- Sponsor a Make-A-Wish child every year
- Sponsor an Exchange Student every year
- Sponsor one or more students to RYLA - youth leadership camp
- Provide labor and funding: Habitat for Humanity home building
- Provide labor and funding: Matthew 25 community food and housing projects
- College Scholarships - 4 each year for Kennedy and Lin-Mar
- Membership Growth to Serve Others more effectively
Our Projects:
- Make-A-Wish (Iowa) fundraising and sponsoring a child each year
- Project week with Matthew 25 plus other service projects as needs arise.
- Project Days at Habitat for Humanity.
- New partnership with the historical Oak Shade Cemetery volunteers in Marion Iowa.
- Support the Pribyl Golf Tournament for young, promising golfers in Middle and High School
- Salvation Army Bell Ringing for a day
- With 7 Metro Area Rotary Clubs combine resources for larger community projects.
Three Membership Responsibilities:
1. Active Participation: Network and Fellowship in our weekly meetings and programs. Work on our Community Service projects. Join a committee or project team.
2. Bring a friend or associate as a guest, toward growing our club membership and effectiveness.
3. Contribute to the Rotary Foundation, thereby contributing to Rotary Service outside our community.
Membership Cost:
Your cost is $200 per quarter. 75% is for our fine Matthew 25 breakfast every week, with the remainder going for Rotary Club expenses, dues and projects. Check with your employer about cost sharing possibilities for your community service in Rotary.
